I can hear my mother laughing at the mummers. Things never go as planned.

1. What did you do in 2007 that you'd never done before?  Uh. I don’t know. I lead a very boring life. Ohh! I beat Jackie in MarioKart twice in one grand prix!

2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?  I never bother, because I never keep them

3. Did anyone close to you give birth? Nope

4. Did anyone close to you die?  Bob Rhodes. I guess we weren’t that close, by that point, but still. It was very upsetting.

5. What countries did you visit? Zeeeero.

6. What would you like to have in 2008 that you lacked in 2007?  Self-control

7. What dates from 2007 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?  January 20th. January 24th. I thought both of them would change my life. March 19th. When I realized that it would never change.

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?  I managed to get home from Short Hills in one piece!

9. What was your biggest failure?  I let myself believe things I knew weren’t true.

10. Did you suffer illness or injury?  Nope. Just your normal colds, etc.

11. What was the best thing you bought?  Right now, my new school bag is pretty bangin’. Actually…the tickets to see Say Anything/Hellogoodbye

12. Whose behavior merited celebration?  My little brother’s. He finally got his eagle.

13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?  Ohyaknow

14. Where did most of your money go?  Gas, I think. And impulse shopping.

15. What did you get really, really, really excited about? Uhhhhh. Say Anything?

16. What song will always remind you of 2007?  Body Bag (Hit the Lights)

17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
      a) happier or sadder?
  Resigned.
      b) thinner or fatter?  Fatter. I’ve gained fifteen pounds in the past four months. It’s incredibly upsetting.
      c) richer or poorer?  Just as broke as I usually am.

18. What do you wish you'd done more of?  Reading.

19. What do you wish you'd done less of?  Hah. Hey baby.

20. How will you be spending Christmas?  Next Christmas, you mean? Presumably with my family.

21. Did you fall in love in 2007?  Yes I did. And you can believe me, or not believe me, or whatever. But I did. And it hurt.

22. How many one-night stands? Dirrty

23. What was your favorite TV program? Office

24. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?  Eh. Not really. I do what I can to not hate people. There are people I never want to speak to again though, and I didn’t know them last year to feel that way.

25. What was the best book you read?  Still, Time Traveler’s Wife

26. What was your greatest musical discovery?  That’s a tricky one…Silversun Pickups, I do believe.

27. What did you want and get?  A pony! No, just kidding, I didn’t get one. Uh. I don’t know. Little things. Nothing spectacular.

28. What did you want and not get?  A life changing event.

29. What was your favorite film of this year?  The Departed.

30. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?  I turned 20, and I went to see LoveDrug play the chameleon.

31. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?  If we’d all paid attention in DARE

32. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2007?  “God I hope this is clean…” Actually, I’m trying to grow up. So there was a little bit of that. And, retail therapy.

33. What kept you sane?  Who said anything about sane?

34. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?  MAX. BEMIS. …end…

35. What political issue stirred you the most?  The Chuck/Huck ad?

36. Who did you miss?  My family. I hate pier.

37. Who was the best new person you met?  I’d say, but they’d make fun of me. Because they’re an insensitive prick, but they amuse the hell out of me.

38. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2007: Look out for Number One, because that’s what everyone else is doing.

39. Quote a song lyric that sums up your year:  “You live the life you’re given with the storms outside.”
